چکیده

ObjectiveDifferent graft materials have been proposed for in situ reconstruction the setting of vascular infection (VGI). We analyzed long-term outcomes after aortoiliac with cryopreserved allografts.MethodsWe performed a retrospective analysis patients who had undergone arterial allografts VGI from 2000 to 2015. The end points were perioperative and mortality graft-related complications, including stenosis, occlusion, pseudoaneurysm, reinfection.ResultsA total 33 (91% male) median age 67 years (range, 53-83 years) allografts. 30-day was 6% (n = 2); both deaths related allograft (one early allograft–enteric fistula one rupture). Another two experienced (≤30 days) events limb occlusion), an complication rate 12% 4). Of 31 discharged patients, 13 (42%) died 47 months 2-97 months). follow-up 18 remaining 96 10-146 estimated survival at 1, 3, 5 88%, 81%, 66%, respectively. Nine (29%) least following during follow-up, stenosis requiring intervention five (16%), occlusion four (13%), pseudoaneurysm three (10%), reinfection (6%). freedom any first event 78%, 71%, 62%, primary patency assisted 1 3 87% 79%, 90% 83%, respectively.ConclusionsIn treat associated relevant complications. Although acceptable, other complications frequent long term, particular, stenosis.

Cryopreserved human allografts (homografts) for the management of graft infections in the ascending aortic position extending to the arch.

OBJECTIVES The management of infected Dacron grafts in the ascending aortic position involving the aortic arch and aortic root remains a technical challenge. Total replacement of the infected graft material with cryopreserved homografts appears to be an effective treatment strategy for these patients. METHODS Seventeen consecutive patients were operated on for infection of their ascending aor...

Background: This study aimed to present cases with cryopreserved human allografts (CHAs) for vascular reconstruction in both aortic and peripheral infected prosthetic grafts. Materials and Methods: This is a single center, observational descriptive study with retrospective analysis. In all cases, the infected prosthetic graft material was completely removed. At discharge, patients were administ...
